What Have I Been Loving This Month? – May Favorites!

So I figured a good way to get the Beauty portion of my blog going is to let you all know what I have been loving this month! This going to be an ongoing series posted usually every month letting you all know what I have been loving during the month!

Foundation/ Concealers :So recently in one of my subscriptions boxes I received a sample of the Tarte rainforest Of The Sea Water Foundation and fell in love, seriously. I didn’t thinks is would work for my combo/oily skin but it works great! It has a natural to satin finish  and honestly has GREAT coverage for what it is. I use a buffing brush to apply as it allows for more coverage! The L.A. Girl Pro Conceal in porcelain is amazing, I have pretty dry under eyes so this is a very creamy concealer and has great coverage, I do have to set this concealer under my eyes, but looks BEAUTIFUL when set. The Covergirl Clean Matte BB Cream in Light is my literal favorite every day “foundation”. This product is not exactly a foundation and not exactly a bb cream either. The coverage is amazing, I would say medium-high medium coverage and has a matte finish (hence the name) but not overly or dry out your skin matte! I am literally on my 3rd tube of it, im OBSESSED!

Skin Care:

My first skin care favorite this month is this moisturizer, it is awesome, especially for my combo/oily skin. It’s not super moisturizing to the point of making me extra oily but it gives me enough moisture to balance out my skin and keep it glowing (in a good way!). Bonus, it smells like candy too, I swear!

My second skin care favorite is this eye gel-cream, it is PERFECT for my under eyes, I have rather dry eyes with some fine lines so this is wonderful for hydrating and plumping up my under eye area!

My last and final skin care favorite is this coconut body wash, if you’re a big coconut fan such as myself, you will love this just as much as me! Although my face is kind of oily in the summer, my body stays pretty dry so this body wash is meant for skin relief and moisturizing and it does just that. It also leaves you smelling yummy for hours after using it!

My Favorite lippies this month are from Tartetheir new Color Splash Hydrating Lipstickis probably one of my favorite lipsticks of all time. While the lipstick is very hydrating is also has a satin-matte finish and is also VERY long-lasting, especially for how hydrating it is! My other fav is the Tarteist Quick Dry Matte Lip PaintBecause most liquid lippies are so drying this one really stands out to me because it’s not nearly as drying as many other lipsticks in this category, the applicator is awesome, it’s a doe foot applicator with a little indent in the middle to retain more product. This lipsticks is also extremely long-lasting, so it is perfect for a long day or a fun night out! My favorite lip pencils recently have been Mac Whirl and Milani Nude. while they are very similar in color, the formulas are slightly different which is why I love them both the same. Whirl is more of a drier formula but definitely more long-lasting where as Milani Nude is more moisturizing but not quite as long wearing. I pair both of these lip pencils frequently with the lipsticks listed above, They are definitely my go to combos this spring/summer!

Swatches of lippies and pencils – Lip pencils – Whirl (top left) and Nude (top right). Color Splash Lipsticks – Pink Lemonade( far left), Beach Babe (2nd from left & my fav.), and Rum Punch (2nd from right). Last but not least, The Quick dry lip paint in Pillowtalk.

My eyeshadow favorite this month has been the Carli Bybel x Bh Cosmetics Deluxe edition palette, it is such a great product for the value!!!!!!! All of the shades are so buttery and blend amazingly. The highlight shades in the palette are better than some of my high-end highlighter, I can’t believe it still! Here are some swatches of the palette, all swatches are one swipe and in order of colors/rows of the palette…

Last but not least, My favorite self tanner!!!!

St. Tropez Self Tan Express Advanced Bronzing MousseBeing as pale as I am and not wanting to damage my skin, I have gotten really into self tanning over the last few years. I have tried a number of different tanning methods and products and finally found this one and FELL IN LOVE! The application is so easy, the end color is so beautiful and natural, and most importantly, there is hardly any scent to it! Also, you can rinse this tanner off after 1, 2, or 3 hours depending how dark you’d like your tan to be and the tan will keep developing over the next 8 hours! I literally cannot say enough good things about this! The St. Tropez Applicator Mitt is also a fav of mine and I believe it plays a major role in the end result of your tan! This tan usually lasts about a week on me and is very east to scrub off in the shower. If you would like a tanning routine post just let me know!

So these are all the things I loved in the month of May, I hope you all enjoyed this post and I hope you’re excited for more to come!!
